How To Balance Oily Skin?

What is Oily Skin?

Oily skin is - oily only occur in the T zone, or the forehead, nose and chin areas. Well, I've also faced with this problem since I was on high school so its really uncomfortable and you will feel shy, low-self esteem same goes with me. So this oily skin is typically from hereditary. Means that if one or both of your parents are having this oily skin so you may or may not have it. And here are several types of oily skin:
  • looks shiny/greasy everywhere
  • appears thick and coarse
  • has enlarged pores
  • tends to be prone to acne breakouts
This is what we called T zone

What causes?

It is cause by over-active sebaceous glands that produce excessive amounts of skin oil which is called "sebum". Besides that, exposing the skin too many products also the causes of the oily skin because it may upset its own natural balance. It is good to limit the uses of several products that is not suitable for the good skin.

Daily Routine for Oily Skin:

  • Wash only twice a day. But usually I will wash several times a day whenever I feel not comfortable. Even though the oil will crops back up within a couple hours, resist the urge to wash again. Avoid from strip oil too much that might cause your skin to react and produce more oil. Rinse by using water only and dry it up with dry and clean towel.
This is a cleansing brush which you can get it from the nearby
    stores that available

  • Use a dissolving cleanser. For sure you want to dissolve the oil and deeply clean at the same time. I would recommend you to use products of cleanser that suitable for oily skin such as Derma E Purifying Gel Cleanser. They would have Derma E Vegan Cruelty-Free and activated charcoal (charcoal is very good for oily skin). Just use a warm water, and massage the cleanser into your skin before rinse off or you can use cleansing brush (it would help to remove all the dirt and soften the skin). *Tips: start massage the cleanser using fingers/cleansing brush - from the chin then up to the cheeks area and the nose then end up with forehead.
  • Use a mask twice a week. This would help to reduce excess oil on the face and moisture your skin. Try not to apply mask more than 20 minutes or too long because you don't want it to suck too much moisture and looks dry. So to maintain the moisture of your skin, I recommend you to apply it at least 20 minutes.
  • Use oil-free products/cosmetics. Always alert when choosing the products especially when it comes to choose foundations or BB cream. Find oil-free or non-comedogenic products.
  • Use toner. Toner will help by cleaning and balancing your natural oil production. So basically I would recommend you to use Nivea Oil Regulating Toner or you can also use any brands of toner as long it work to your skin.
